No EL Child Left Behind: A School Counselor's Guide to EL Issues and Questions - Feb. 26, 2009

This Day 1 workshop will feature leaders and practitioners in the field of EL and schoolcounseling sharing their expertise in areas of: Transcript reading, interpreting CELDT scores, reclassification, interventions for EL students,Bi-lingual guidance curriculum, AB 1802 and Bi-lingual students; school counselor advocacy for EL students and migrant issues. Come learn, share and discuss current policy issues, success stories and challenges.

The ASCA Model and AB 1802 Part II: Next Steps - Feb. 27, 2009

This Day 2 workshop,facilitated by Trish Hatch is designed as a follow up to Part I. If you havealready attended a two-day training, this next step training is for you! Participants will receive more advanced data mining samples, PowerPoint andpre-post examples, up to date AB 1802 information and skills to effectively implement the ASCA National Model and the AB 1802 Supplemental SchoolCounseling Program.

ASCA Model and AB 1802 Training November 8 &9. 2007 in San Diego draws over 200!

Beautiful Marina Viliage was the setting for the training for over 200 counselors and administrators. We had a great time and look forward to seeing everyone at the next training in March! School counselors and administrators spent two days learning how to use data to effect change, how to design Action Plans and Pre-post tests, and how to measure results of their programs.  This training sold out, but there will be more!

Murrieta Unified School District hosted a day filled with Ethics and law by the national guru, Carolyn Stone. Over 100 attendees raved about her presentation!

ASCA Model and AB 1802 Training in San Mateo Sells OUT! - Trish Hatch, Trainer

As a result of the overwhelming request for more ASCA Model and AB 1802 training, another training was held May 14 & 15, 2007 in collaboration with the San Mateo County Office of Education. Again, all speaking fees and all proceeds were donated to support the Center for Excellence in School Counseling and Leadership. The May workshop celebrated the newly released California Results-based, School Counseling and Student Support Guidelines

ASCA Model and AB 1802 Training in Temecula a HUGE SUCCESS!  They just kept coming!

Over 300 school counselors and administrators attended the ASCA Model and AB 1802 training held February 26 & 27 in Temecula, CA. Co-Sponsored by Murrieta Valley Unified School District and SDSU’s Center for Excellence in School Counseling and Leadership, this training provided valuable information on the changing role of the professional school counselor nationally and in California with AB 1802 and expert advice on how to infuse AB 1802 with the ASCA Model.  

The positive feedback from the attendees was overwhelming! School counselors and administrators were delighted to have this in-depth training available to them.
